BUT THE WOMEN CAME<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They came
With the evening light
They walked
With their children
They advanced
Because it was time.
A silent thunder
Of jewels being restored,
A sure step
On garments of journeys
Immemorial.
They met the wind
And the sand with
The thorns of the desert
And the shine of the
Diminutive specks of metals
Embedded
Like tiny lightning.
Their children recorded it
In their deeper eyes
To be never forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PERO LAS MUJERES VINIERON<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vinieron
A la luz de la tarde
Caminaron
Con sus hijos
Avanzaron
Porque ya era tiempo
Un silencioso trueno
De ser ignoradas
De joyas restauradas
Un paso seguro
En prendas de caminantes
Inmemoriales.
Se encontraron con el viento
Y la arena
Con las espinas del desierto
Y los brillos de los pedacitos de metales
Incrustados
Como diminutos rel\u00e1mpagos.
Sus hijos lo grabaron
En sus m\u00e1s profundos ojos
Y jam\u00e1s lo olvidaron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
